The Philosophy of Curiosity
During the first half of my life, I was taught that curiosity is dangerous - that it makes other people uncomfortable - so I shouldn't ask questions unless absolutely necessary.
Now that I'm in the second half of my life, I have a different take on curiosity. It's a powerful way of connecting to others and to ourselves. And curiosity can change conversations and conflict for the better. It changes how we show up for ourselves and for others.
Why Curiously Yours?
Curiously Yours came from the idea that if we all just took a few minutes to pause and reflect, we are more likely to be gentler with ourselves - to give ourselves time to pause, take a breath, reflect thoughtfully on our lives, and embrace affirming thoughts and actions. Then, when we are ready, we can give ourselves permission to make meaningful choices.
I want to create a sense of delight when you see the Curiously Yours envelope in your mailbox. Then, when you sit in your cozy chair and experience the contents in the envelope, I want to create a feeling of respite from managing life's obligations and taking care of everyone else, so YOU can take care of YOU, even if for a moment.
