Terms and Conditions

Curiously Yours is operated by Plamondon Learning, LLC. By subscribing to the Curiously Yours Mail Subscription Service, you agree to the terms below. I've written them to be as clear as possible.

What You're Subscribing To

Each month, subscribers receive a hand-assembled envelope containing a personal letter, a set of printed reflection questions, and a printed "permission slip." You may also receive one or more variable items (e.g., a photo, bookmark, or affirmation card). Contents may vary slightly from month to month. That variability is intentional and part of what makes each envelope its own unique experience.

Billing & Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis based on subscriber's selection and/or until cancelled. Your payment method will be charged at the start of each billing cycle. Gift subscriptions do not auto-renew. When the prepaid period ends, the subscription simply concludes. The gift recipient may choose to continue. If your payment is declined, I'll make reasonable attempts to process it before pausing your subscription. You'll be notified if there's an issue so we can sort it out together.

Cancellation

You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account on the Curiously Yours website, or by emailing me directly at paul@curiouslyyours.com. To avoid being charged for the following month, please cancel at least 5 days before your next billing date. If your billing date has already passed and your envelope is in preparation or has been mailed, that month's subscription cannot be refunded — but your subscription will not renew after that.

There's no penalty for canceling. If something has changed and this isn't the right time, I hope you'll come back when it is.

Refunds

Because each envelope is hand-assembled and mailed on a set schedule, I'm generally unable to offer refunds once an envelope has been prepared or sent. That said, I want you to feel good about this subscription. Here's how I handle specific situations:

  • If your envelope arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all: Contact me within 30 days and I'll make it right — either by sending a replacement or issuing a credit toward a future month.
  • If you're charged in error: I'll refund the charge promptly, no questions asked.
  • If you cancel before your next billing date: Your subscription will end at the close of the current billing period and you won't be charged again.
  • Prepaid and gift subscriptions are non-refundable once the subscription begins, as the contents are ordered and assembled in advance.

If something doesn't feel right, reach out. I'd rather work it out directly than leave you with a frustrating experience.

Shipping & Delivery

All envelopes are mailed via USPS First Class mail, typically by the 15th of each month. Domestic delivery generally takes 2–5 business days after mailing, though USPS timelines are outside my control.

(Coming Soon) International subscribers: Your envelope will be mailed at the international rate. Delivery times vary significantly by destination — typically 2–6 weeks. Please be aware that customs delays are possible and outside my control. I am not responsible for envelopes lost or delayed due to postal service issues, incorrect addresses, or circumstances beyond my control. If your envelope doesn't arrive, reach out and I'll do my best to help.

Keeping Your Address Current

It's your responsibility to make sure your mailing address is accurate and up to date in your account. If an envelope is returned to me due to an incorrect or outdated address, I'll reach out to get it right and will reship if possible — though reshipping fees may apply. Address changes must be made before the mailing cutoff for that month (typically the first day of the month) to be reflected in the current shipment. Changes submitted after cutoff will take effect with the following month's envelope.

Gift Subscriptions

Gift subscriptions are prepaid for the duration selected (3 months). The gift recipient does not need to provide payment information and will not be charged when the gift period ends. If a recipient wishes to continue after the gift concludes, they can subscribe directly through the website. Gifts are non-refundable once the subscription has been initiated.

Changes to These Terms

If I need to update these terms, I'll post the revised version here and note the date it was updated. Continuing your subscription after an update means you've accepted the revised terms.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information I collect when you subscribe to Curiously Yours, how I use it, and what I don't do with it. I've tried to write this in plain language rather than legalese — if something is unclear, just ask.

What Information I Collect

When you subscribe or join the waitlist, I collect some or all of the following:

  • Your first name, full name, and mailing address — to send your envelope each month.
  • Your email address — to communicate with you about your subscription, including billing notifications, address confirmations, and the occasional update.
  • Payment information — processed securely through the third-party services I need to use, which are Stripe or the payment system built into Subbly, and any third-party services they need to use to provide their service. I do not store your credit card number on my end. It is handled entirely by PCI-compliant third-party processors.
  • Any information you voluntarily share — for example, if you contact me directly via email.

I collect only what I need to deliver your subscription and communicate with you about it.

How I Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Assemble, address, and mail your monthly envelope to the correct address.
  • Process and manage your subscription payments.
  • Contact you about your account — billing confirmations, address questions, or if there's an issue with your order.
  • Send occasional updates about Curiously Yours (new themes, seasonal offerings, or news that feels worth sharing).

You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting me directly.

What I Don't Do With Your Information

To be direct about it:

  • I do not sell your personal information to anyone.
  • I do not share your mailing address or email with advertisers.
  • I do not use your information to target you with ads elsewhere on the internet.
  • Curiously Yours contains no third-party advertising. Your information is not a product here.

Third-Party Services

Running a subscription requires working with a small number of trusted services. Your information may be shared with:

  • Subbly — my subscription management and website platform, which handles subscription billing and account management.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google Workspace or Microsoft Outlook — email communication.
  • USPS — your mailing address is necessarily used to deliver your envelope.

These services are used only for the purposes of delivering your subscription. They have their own privacy policies, which I encourage you to review if you'd like more detail on how they handle data.

Cookies

My website may use cookies to recognize your browser and remember session information (such as items in your cart). I do not use cookies to track your activity across other websites or for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

I retain your information for as long as your subscription is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to handle any questions or issues related to your account. If you cancel your subscription and would like your information removed, you can request that by emailing me.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information I hold about you.
  • Request corrections to any information that is inaccurate.
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to any legal or operational requirements).
  • Opt out of non-essential email communications at any time.

A Note on Children

Curiously Yours is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If I update this privacy policy, I'll revise the date at the top and post the new version here. If the changes are significant, I'll let you know by email.
